POLLY ?? , RYAN In his will dated 10 January 1821, Record book A, page 71 and 72, at Monroe county, Illinois it is recorded: In the name of God, amen, I DANIEL RAPERT considering the uncertainty of life & being weak in body but of a sound mind as my last will & Testement, do hereby thus despose of my property. First I desire that my executors to be hereafter named after seeing to the collection of my dues & payment of my just debts, do cause the whole of my estate both personal & real to be sold at auction (execpt my rifle gun & appenduyes? the whole of my wearing apparrel & saddle which I give & bequeath to my son DANIEL) & the procedes therof to be desposed as follows vis one third thereof to be given to my wife POLLY & divided equally between my son DANIEL, my daughter MINDA & my youngest daughter MILLE, with this reserve, --- That my daughter VICE PETTEL be entitled to one seventh thereof--- I do hereby appoint ANDY KINNEY & PRICE BRYANT to be my executors-- N B my bald sorrel colt I give & bequeath to my wife"s son JOHN. BRACKETT one of the subscribing witneses to the within will of DANIEL RAPERT personally appeared before the undersigned Judge of probate in and for the County aforesaid and being duly sworn deposed and said that he was present on the tenth day of January 1821 and saw DANIEL RAPERT sign the within will and Testament in the presence of JAMES R. SHEPPERD the other subscribing witness, and that at the time of signing the same he beleived the said RAPERT to be of sound mind memory and judgement. SHEPHERD* State of Illinois, Monroe County The people of the State of Illinois to JOHN RYAN, Greeting--- Whereas DANIEL RAPERT, Late of this county Deceased did by his last will and Testament appoint ANDY KINNEY and PRINCE BRYANT his executors, and the said executors aforesaid having refused to act this is therefore to give and grant unto you JOHN RYAN full power and authoriety to administer all and singular the goods, chattels, rights, credits, land and Tenements of the said Deceased and will and faithfully to despose of the same according to Law and the Directions of said will a copy of which is hereunto annexed togeather with the probate thereof, and to ask demand collect levy and in legal manner require and receive all and all manner of debts due and oweing the said deceased at the time of his death, andLastly we do constitute and appoint you JOHN RYAN Administrator of all and singular the goods chattels rights audits Land and Tenements of the said DANIEL RAPERT Deceased----In Testemony whereof I CALDWELL CAIRNS, Judge of probate in and for the County of Monroe have hereunto set my hand and private seal.
