| The above old picture picture was found after who knows how
many years. It is a picture of two men who appear to have caught an alligator
gar with bamboo fishing poles. My great grandfather, George Kreischer (born in 1887, died 1980) is the shorter of the two men and
has the wadders on. They were probably fishing the Mississippi River as he owned a farm and the town store in Valmeyer. I am trying to find out more about the picture: what year, who is the other man, is that an alligator gar, and anything else. I actually know very little about my family and am trying to put together all the little pieces. Would it be possible to post this picture and see if anyone recognizes it? Thanks, Norma Kreischer |
