The Waterloo Times Friday, April 16, 1915 Newsy Notes County Supt. Heyl and all the teachers of the Waterloo public school attended the Southern Illinois Teacher’s Association at Murphysboro last Friday. Peter Schaefer and a force of road workers are leveling off the Neubarth hill west of the waterworks. Two charges of dynamite were used Tuesday for the work. Pierre Gauen took the dynamite out in a Studebaker car, and, although he denies it, we think he felt rather shaky en transit. He says he is not on the market to haul dynamite, though. Among those from a distance to attend the funeral of William Heath Tuesday, were: Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Heath of East St. Louis, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Warning of Edgemont, Mr. and Mrs. George Fortune of Caseyville, Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Heath, Mrs. J.A. Krepps and son Bryan, Mrs. E. Miller, Mrs. Henry Johnson, Mrs. Edw. Fraze, and Mrs. J. Durban, all of St. Louis. Miss Caroline Hesterberg entertained about twenty of her Burksville friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Koenigsmark Saturday evening. The evening was spent in games and music and an excellent luncheon was served to which all did ample justice. The small hours began to peep when the happy party broke up, all vowing that they had a splendid time, and ready to come again on first call.
