METZGER-MENTEL

Louis J. Metzger and Miss Alice Mentel of this city stole a march on their friends 
Tuesday by going to Belleville and getting married.  August M. Wagner drove them 
over in his machine and they were married in the Catholic parsonage in that city, Miss 
Caroline Metzger, sister of the groom, and Alvanus Mentel, brother of the bride, 
witnessing the ceremony.

Immediately after the ceremony the wedding party returned to Waterloo where a 
wedding supper was served at the bride’s home and a quiet celebration followed.

The young couple will occupy rooms with the bride’s mother.

Their many friends extend hearty congratulations and best wishes.
