The Waterloo Times Friday, March 26, 1915 The Marrying Justices Bremser and Demint Have Two Marriages the Past Week Harry Taylor, a clerk at Schaper Bros. Store, St. Louis and Margaret Aylward of East St. Louis, stole a march on their friends last Thursday by coming out to Waterloo and getting married. Mrs. Ella Hughes, an aunt of the bride, came down with the couple and was a witness to the marriage. Miller J. Howard, a salesman for Swift & Co., and Mamie M. Olson, both of East St. Louis, came out on the 4:15 P.M. car Saturday, slipped into the Court House by way of the east side door and obtained a marriage license and were married in the Court room. F.R. Scheffler, who married a sister of the bride, came over with the young folks and was a witness to the ceremony. Mr. Scheffler and his bride were married here by Judge Hugo Bremser two years ago.
