The Waterloo Times December 10, 1915 TRIED TO GET GAME WARDEN IN BAD Austin Lark, game warden of this district, was tried Saturday before Esquire Louis S. DeMint in the Circuit Court room for shooting ducks after sundown, on a complaint sworn out by Louis Riebeling of Merrimac precinct. Quite a large delegation of bottom people were here to see the fun. State’s Attorney Reichenbach and Roy E. Gauen represented the prosecution, A. C. Bollinger was retained by the defendant. The case went to a jury who decided in defendant’s favor after five minutes deliberation, finding him not guilty.
