Oct 15, 1915 Waterloo Times “Bill” Didn’t Change Her Name Much Mr. William Burkhardt, oldest son of Sheriff and Mrs. J. M. Burkhardt, was married to Miss Louise Burckhardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Burckhardt, in this city Saturday evening, at the home of the bride’s parents, Rev. J. Nollau officiating. After the ceremony, the newlyweds, left on the 9 o’clock car for St. Louis, where they went to housekeeping at once in a cozy little home, which had been prepared in advance for the happy event. The groom is employed with the American Trust, Co. in St. Louis where he is well liked and is considered a general favorite with all. The bride is one of Waterloo’s fair daughters who leaves a large circle of friends here who regret her loss in their midst. The Times joins their many friends in wishing them all the luck attainable on their journey over life’s matrimonial sea.
