The Waterloo Times April 2, 1915 MAEYSTOWN Constable Herman Pape was in attendance at the court last week. Dr. C. F. Wilhemj of East St. Louis called on his brother Dr. Aug. G. Wilhelmj and family Tuesday. Wm. Bodenbach and Henry Schatte served as grand jurors and Rudolph Klein as petit juror at the circuit court. The following are the latest buyers of automobiles: Albert Brandt, a Dodge; John Kohnz, Wm. Hesterberg and Henry Schatte, Fords. Louis H. Zimmer and Henry C. Pape attended the meeting of Columbia Lodge No. 474 last Saturday. They speak highly of the hospitality of the Columbia brethren. Do not forget the Commercial Club meeting, Monday evening April 5. The club meets in Pape’s hall, and meeting takes up at 8 o’clock. Important business is to be transacted and all members are requested to be present. Entered into rest Monday, Mar 22, 1915, at 10 p.m., Mrs. Wilhelmina Trost at her residence near Maeystown, Illinois, at the age of 72 years and 8months. The deceased was born Dec 22, 1843 in Fuerstenthums Snaumberg Lippe Bueckeburg, Germany, and emigrated to America at the age of 10 years. She first made her home at Harrisonville, and from there the family settled at Wartburg. She was confirmed April 9, 1855 by Rev. Beckmann at the latter place, where she also married William Trost, October 7, 1860. To this union were born 11 children, 5 of whom have preceded her in death and 6 survive, namely, William, Henry and Charles Trost and Mrs. Henry Schilling, Mrs. Fred C. Wiedner and Mrs. William Hesterberg. Her husband died Dec. 31, 1901. Her remains were interred in the Maeystown Cemetery, Wednesday afternoon, after an impressive funeral service by Rev. Paul Boholz, in the St. John’s Evangelical Church.
