West Hecker - Waterloo Times, Friday Feb 5, 1915 Sleigh riding has been all the go of late. Miss Sophia Lant and Perrie Klotz spent a few days of last week in St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. George Lohrberg, and Mrs. Alice Brand made a trip to Waterloo in a sleigh. Miss Frances Dudenhoffer, who has been visiting around Hecker, returned to her home in St. Louis. Miss Louisa Henkel spent a few days of last week with her sister, Mrs. Richard Probst of Floraville. Mrs. Henry Eisenbart and daughters, Ima Ura and Vera came home with Mrs. Lohrberg. They returned home Saturday by the way of Red Bud. Miss Annie Schilling, who is employed in Belleville, came home Thursday to spend a few days with her mother. She returned to Belleville Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo Lohrberg and son George, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Mueth, and son Olive, Mrs. Alice Brand and daughters Lucile and Adelle, spent Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schilling and family. A jolly crowd of people gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lohrberg Thursday evening to help celebrate Mrs. Lohrberg’s birthday. One and all had a good time and the party ended at a late hour all wishing Mrs. Lohrberg many happy returns of the day.
