Jacob Studt, son of Abraham Studt) served in the 49th Regiment Illinois Infantry Volunteers,  Co. H. Waterloo. Enlisted as a Private September 16, 1861. October 28, 1862 discharged at St. Louis of wounds received at Shiloh on April 6, 1862.

Jacob Studt, age 20, single.  Occupation farmer, born in Prussia.

Died January 26, 1892, Glasco, Cloud Co., KS.

Jacob Studt (approx. 1840-1892) was born in Kappein and emigrated with his siblings and their father.  He was a Civil War Veteran.  like other family members, he moved from MOnroe County Illinois to Cloud County, Kansas.
