Yochum, Christina Marie nee Schwartz

Christina Marie Yochum nee Schwartz, 43, of Columbia, died Sept. 1, 2007. 
She was born June 1, 1964, in Granite City, the daughter of Ella Jane Schwartz 
nee Allen of St. Louis, and the late Robert Paul Schwartz. She married Stephen 
Yochum in 1993. Ms. Yochum is survived by her mother; husband; children 
Ashley, Amanda, Alyssa, Alex and Austin Yochum; siblings Robert (Joan) Schwartz, 
Bryan (Katie) Schwartz, and Cheryl (Larry) Thomas; half-sister Cindy (Terry) 
Dittenbur; mother- and father-in-law Harold and Rose Yochum of Waterloo; 
brothers- and sisters-in-law Mark (Kelly) Yochum, Lisa (Craig) Bower, and 
Gregory (Rachel) Yochum; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many 
friends. She was preceded in death by her father and brother Bruce Schwartz. 
Mrs. Yochum was a graduate of Webster University and worked as a optician for 
Erker’s Optical in St. Louis until 1995, when she became a mother. She will be 
remembered for her great faith in God. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. 
A funeral service was held at First Baptist Church, Pastor Dan Freet officiating. 
She is buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Columbia. Memorials may 
be made to the Yochum Children’s Fund at Columbia National Bank.
