Yankey, Howard  

Howard Yankey, 89, of Waterloo, died May 27, 2007, in Chester. He was 
born June 12, 1917, in Rockwood, the son of the late William Henry and 
Lena Maria Yankey nee Waltimate. He was married to the late Gertrude Yankey 
nee Deul. Mr. Yankey is survived by his children Bonnie Schlotmann of Waterloo 
and Dale Yankey of Waterloo; grandchildren Kimberly (Jeff) Mueth and Regina 
Yankey; great-grandchildren Jacob Mueth and Emma Mueth; brother Glen 
Yankey of Belleville; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in 
death by his parents, wife, son Lee W. Yankey, and brothers Alvey Yankey, 
Gilmer Yankey and Ray Yankey. Visitation and a funeral service were at 
Quernheim Funeral Home, Pastor Ivan Horn officiating. He is buried at 
Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to Oak Hill.
