Morrow, Morris J. Morris J. “Mo” Morrow, 55, of Avon Lake, Ohio, formerly of Columbia, died April 14, 2007, in Westlake, Ohio. He was born Nov. 16, 1951, in East St. Louis, the son of Shirley J. Morrow of Columbia and the late Joel H. Morrow. He was married to Deborah Morrow nee Kimball. Mr. Morrow is survived by his mother; wife; children Jennifer (Jamie Menard) Morrow of Waterloo and Tony (Becky) Morrow of Waterloo; grandchildren Jordan, Mitchell, Dallas and Aidan; sister Denise (Kirk) Fisher of Valmeyer; nieces Tanya (Ryan) Hunsaker and Jaime (Chris) Fisher; uncle Cameron (Kathy) Cook; beloved dog Jake; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents Horace and Mary Morrow, Elizabeth Middleton and Carl Cook. Mr. Morrow was a 1969 graduate of Columbia High School and began working for the railroad at the age of 17. For the past 13 years he worked as the director of communications for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #581, Columbia Blue Lodge #474 A.F. & A.M., and the Dupo Quarterback Club. He was the youngest member ever elected to the Dupo School Board and served Dupo as the police commissioner. He was active with the Illinois and Ohio Democratic parties. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening, the outdoors and barbequing. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. A private committal service was held at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Rev. Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Friendship Animal Protective League in Elyria, Ohio.
