Riese, Roger A.
Roger A. Riese, 67, of Columbia, died Nov. 26, 2006, in East Carondelet. He 
was born Sept. 23, 1939, in Roseland, Neb., the son of the late Lester and Helen 
Riese nee Mitchell. He was married to the late Jackie Riese. Mr. Riese is survived 
by his children Vickie (Joe) Todd of West Frankfort, Judy Williams of West 
Frankfort, Barbara (Gary) Yrjanson of Columbia, Michael McIntyre of Dupo, 
and Tina (Ernest) Higgerson of East Carondelet; grandchildren Dale Gene (Jennifer) 
Kronk, Amanda Jean Kronk, Roger Michael Riese, Ernest Lee Higgerson III, 
Kelly Todd, Crystal Ann Williams, Jennifer Marie Higgerson, Jacqueline McIntyre, 
Joseph Wayne Higgerson, Ozzy Michael McIntyre, crystal Williams and Josh Gass; 
great-grandchildren Christen Leon Kronk and Bret Schumer; sisters Pat Herman 
of St. Louis, and Janice (Jerry) Keplinger of Godfrey; and brother Kenneth (Jan) 
Riese of St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and grandson 
Dale Taylor Kronk. Mr. Riese was a retired mechanic and welder from Mid-Town 
Garage in St. Louis. He also worked for Sugarloaf Township. He was a veteran of 
the U.S. Navy and received the Good Conduct award. Visitation and a funeral 
service were at Dashner Funeral Home, Rev. David Liebnau officiating. He was 
buried with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
