Josten, Elsie M. nee Faus Elsie M. Josten nee Faus, 104, of Waterloo, died March 21, 20006, in Waterloo. She was born December 25, 1901, in Maeystown, the daughter of the late Louis and Eleanor Faus Jr. nee Hartman. She was married to the late Armin “Roundy” Josten. Mrs. Josten is survived by her children Helen (Royce) Cheney of Waterloo and Shirley (Charles) Cameron of Hecker; grandchildren David Cheney, Mike (Debbie) Cheney, Mark Cameron, Debbie (Pete) Egan, and Gail (Glen) Wetzler; great-grandchildren Bill (Rana) Cheney, Ryan Cheney, Greta Cheney, Katie (Wil) Hoppe, Ryan (Elisa) Wetzler, Justin Wetzler and Sam Egan; great-great-grandchildren Chelsea Cheney, Tom Cheney and Hannah Cheney; and sister Norma Sopp. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sisters Emma Thiele, Frieda Pfeifer, Eleanor Reinhold, Bertha Faus, Nelda Breidecker and Hulda Faus; and brothers Albert Faus and Louis Faus. Mrs. Josten was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and the Women’s Guild. Visitation and funeral services were at Quernheim Funeral Home, Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. She is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo.
