Hoffmann, Elvera nee Bozzay Elvera Hoffmann nee Bozzay, 98, of St. Louis, formerly of Tipton, died May 24, 2006, in St. Louis. She was born Sept. 20, 1907, in Perth Amboy, N.J., the daughter of the late Dennis and Helen Bozzay nee Horvath. She was married to the late Frank E. Hoffmann. Mrs. Hoffmann is survived by her son Donald (Dorothy) Hoffmann of Fenton, Mo.; grandchildren Chris (Neal Johnson) Hibbard, Jeff (Julie) Hibbard, Don (Mary Kay) Hoffmann, David (Terri) Hoffmann and Donna (John) Hermosillo; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Jim (Sugar) Bozzay of St. Louis and William (Helen) Bozzay of St. Louis; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Barbara Hibbard, sister Olga (Jack) Schauer, and brother Dennis (Fran) Bozzay. Mrs. Hoffmann was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Tipton and the Monroe County Farm Bureau. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral mass was at St. Patrick’s Church, Fr. Jose Jacob officiating. She is buried at St. Patrick Cemetery in Tipton. Memorials may be made to Nazareth Living Center.
