Gant, Mary E. nee Dinan
Mary E. Gant nee Dinan, 85, of Waterloo, died April 24, 2006, in St. Louis. 
She was born March 6, 1921, in Ames, the daughter of the late Ferd and Leora 
Dinan nee Sinclair. She was married to the late Arline M. Gant. Mrs. Gant is 
survived by her children James (Claudia) Gant of Hilton Head, S.C., Robert 
(Pam) Gant of Charlotte, N.C., Lori (Glenn) Reams of Waterloo, Rita Bachelier 
(John Fries) of Waterloo, and Lawrence (Noreen) Gant of Creve Coeur, Mo.; 
18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy (Arthur) Halfar of 
Teutopolis; and brother Lee (Gladys) Dinan of St. Louis. She was preceded in 
death by her parents, husband, brothers William Dinan and Gilbert Dinan, and 
granddaughter Sarah Reams. Mrs. Gant was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul 
Catholic Church in Waterloo. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A 
funeral mass was at Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Waterloo, Msgr. Thomas 
Flach officiating. She is buried at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo.
