Barton, Karen Leigh nee Salzwedel
Karen Leigh Barton nee Salzwedel, 47, of Waterloo, died Nov. 4, 2006, in St. Louis. 
She was born Aug. 6, 1959, in St. Louis the daughter of Peggy Laux of Waterloo and 
Donald Salzwedel of St. Charles, Mo. Mrs. Barton is survived by her parents; brother 
Mark (Kim) Salzwedel of St. Charles, Mo.; sister Kelly Salzwedel of Columbia; nieces 
and nephews Brad, John, Dan, Megan and Mary; and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was 
preceded in death by her grandparents and step-father Oliver Laux Jr. Mrs. Barton was 
a member of First Baptist Church of Harvester, Mo. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral 
Home. A funeral service was at First Baptist Church of Waterloo, Pastor Steve Neill 
officiating. A graveside service was held at Straightway Baptist Cemetery in Steelville, Mo.
