Mrs. Mary Tute
Dies at Age 92

Mrs. Mary Kunkel Tute died April 2 at the Monroe County Nursing Home in Waterloo.

She was 92 years old.

The funeral was Sunday afternoon from the Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo with 
services at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, the Rev. Charles Hellrung 
officiating. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery, Tipton.

There was a Requiem Mass yesterday morning for Mrs. Tute at SS. Peter and Paul Church.

Mrs. Tute was born October 5, 1860 at Renault. She is survived by six grandchildren, 
Mary Siegfried of Red Bud, Robert Kunkel of New Athens, and Walter Kunkel, Mrs. 
Miriam Jung, Mrs. Madonna Degener, and Mrs. Adele Goessling of Waterloo; nine 
great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.  Her only son Joseph Kunkel, died in 1937.

After the death of her first husband, Frank Kunkel, she married Patrick Tute, who also 
preceded her in death.
