SIEVERS

Ben Sievers, one of the well known residents of our city, died Monday, aged 76 years.

The funeral took place in the Catholic Cemetery here this morning.

The deceased was born in Germany but came here in young manhood.  He was married 
in St. Louis to Mrs. Jansen, who preceded him in death several years ago.

Eleven children were born to this union, three of whom survive.  They are Henry Sievers, 
Mrs. Henry Lang, and Mrs. Adam Jung.

Mr. Sievers was very well known in his day, and was engaged in the saloon business for 
quite a while.  He made two trips back to the Fatherland and always took an interest in 
current events.
