Waterloo, Illinois: Republic-Times newspaper: Wednesday, August 23, 2006 pg 3a Armin A. "Pete" PEIPER Armin A. "Pete" PIEPER, 88, of Waterloo, died Aug. 17, 2006 in Red Bud. He was born Nov. 27, 1917 in Valmeyer, son of the late Albert H. and Frieda (nee HEUSOHN) PEIPER. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Valmeyer, Masonic Lodge #787 Eastern Star in Waterloo, the American Legion and was a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation was held Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo. Funeral services were held Aug. 21 at the funeral home with Pastor David Reibeling officiating. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Valmeyer. Survivors include a wife, Virginia L PIEPER, nee STUMPF; two sons, David A. PIPER of Anaheim Hills, Calif. And Delos M. (Suzanne) PIEPER of Whitehouse Station, N.J.; grandchildren Sara, Megan, Matthew, Darren, Craig and Christine; great-grandchildren Carson and Brandon PIEPER, Jacob, Ella Rose and Sophia FERNANDEZ; a sister, June AUSTIN of N. Canton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Geneva PFLASTERER of Columbia; a brotehr-in-law, Harvey Louis (Dixie) STUMPF of Columbia; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceeded in death by his parents, and sisters Mildred MONTGOMERY and Bernice NATION. Memorials will be made to St. John UCC, Valmeyer.
