The Waterloo Republican Wednesday, April 27, 1949 Mrs. Johanna Jaeger Died Here Monday Mrs. Johanna Jaeger, 86, died at her home here Monday, April 25, 1949, and will be buried Thursday morning in the Catholic Cemetery here in Waterloo, following services in SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, at which Rev. Charles Hellrung will officiate. Her body will in state at the Wagner Funeral Home. Mrs. Jaeger, widow of the late Anton Jaeger, who died here in 1935, was born in St. Louis May 20, 1862, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Birkenmeyer. She attained the age of 86 years, 11 months and five days, and was among Waterloo’s oldest residents. She is survived by three sons, Anton of Chicago, Walter and Armin of Waterloo, one daughter, Miss Louise Jaeger at home. There are also eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services tomorrow morning will be at nine o’clock.
