Waterloo, Illinois: Republic-Times newspaper: Wednesday, August 23, 2006 pg 3a Marcella C. HEYL, 89, of Red Bud, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006, at Red Bud Nursing Home in Red Bud. She was born June 15, 1917, at Ellis Grove, the daughter of Elizabeth (KAISER) and Walter GREGSON. On November 23, 1939 she married Leslie O. HEYL at St. John the Baptist Cahtolic Church, Red Bud. Marcella was a retired housekeeper for Maria Care Nursing Home in Red Bud. She had also worked at Probst Egg Company. After her retirement, Marcella worked at the Hecker Community Center and served the meal at weddings. Marcella was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church at Hecker, the Blessed Virgin Sodality, Red Bud Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Senior Circle at the hospital, Red Bud Senior Citizens, Monroe County Farm Bureau, and an honorary member of Hecker Community Center. Survivors include a daughter, Roberta (Charles) LURK of Red Bud; three grandsons, Steven (Lucinda) LURK of Baldwin and David LURK and Brian LURK of Red Bud; two great-grandchildren, Scott HOLTON and Kristy HOLTON; a sister, Alberta SNELL of Red Bud; swo sisters-in-law, Marian GREGSON and Louise GREGSON of Red Bud; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband on Jan. 22, 1986; three brothers, Cletus GREGSON, John GREGSON and Walter GREGSON; and three sisters, Mary WALDRON, Helen LANDMANN and a sister at infancy. Visitation was held Thursday evening and Friday morning at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud. Father Tom STOUT and Fr. Bob GORE presided at the funeral services Friday at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church. Interment was in St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church, Hecker. Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
