The Waterloo Republic-Times, September 7, 1983: Harold Flynn Died At Age 75 Harold E. Flynn, 75, of Waterloo, died Sept. 6, 1983, at St. Clement Hospital, Red Bud, after being hospitalized seven days. Mr. Flynn was a retired engineer for Union Electric. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today (Wednesday) until 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, the Rev. Jerome Rattermann officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Mr. Flynn was born Feb. 9, 1908, in Jerseyville, Ill., a son of the late Edward D. and Mary Magdalena Flynn, nee Middendorf. His survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Hazel) Schneider of Columbia and Alice Shields of St. Louis, three brothers, Bernard Flynn of Dupo, Eugene Flynn of St. Louis, and Paul Flynn of Waterloo.
