The Waterloo Times Friday, September 24, 1915 Joseph Korte Died Last Thursday Joseph Korte, died at the residence of his brother, Ben Korte, in this city Thursday morning, October 21, 1915, aged 52 years and 5 days. Deceased had been ailing for the past fifteen months and death came as a relief to end his sufferings. He was born near this city, October 16, 1863, and was a son of Frank and Mary Korte. He was never married, and for the past ten years he has been making his home with his brother Ben in this city. He was of a quiet and retiring disposition, and attended strictly to his own affairs. He was a devout Christian and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul’s congregation of this city. His remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery Saturday morning after requiem mass in the church where he had worshipped all his life. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the last sad rites. Two brothers, Henry and Ben, survive, who have the sympathy of all in their hour of deepest sorrow.
