The Waterloo Republican December 5, 1923 John F. Grob died at his home on Tuesday, November 27, 1923, and his interment too place in the Catholic cemetery on Thursday, November 29. The deceased was stricken with apoplexy as reported last week, and his condition became hopeless. He leaves his widow, and two daughters, Mrs. E.H. Brucker and Mrs. Carl Brucker and one stepson David M. Jenkins. He was aged 56 years, 2 months and 15 days. For many years he was employed in the quarry business, and in the practical management of which he was very skillful. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.H. Nollau at the home, and by Mayor F.G. Rapp at the grave. The deceased was of a cheerful disposition and his easy ways endeared him to all who knew him. The bereaved widow and children have the sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow.
