The Waterloo Republican Thursday, March 8, 1900 CROWLEY Miss Johanna Crowley died near this city March 1st, 1900 aged about 53 years. Miss Crowley had been ailing for a number of years, her death resulting from cancer which refused to yield to treatment. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Crowley, both of whom are dead. Mr. Crowley was accidentally killed in the early sixties by being thrown from a wagon one Sunday morning when returning from church. The mother died about four years ago. Besides a large number of friends she leaves a number of relatives, among whom are Mrs. Buckely of St.Louis, Mrs. T. Burns of Columbia, Daniel Crowley of Waterloo, and Dr. J. Crowley of Kansas City. Miss Crowley was a devout Catholic, and a member of the Rosary and Sacred Heart societies.
