Rexinger, Lois J. nee Orrell Lois J. Rexinger nee Orrell, 80, of Waterloo, died September 15, 2005, in Stratham, N.H. She was born April 13, 1924, in Casey, the daughter of George and Faye Orrell nee Swim. She was married to the late Edmund Rexinger. She is survived by her daughter Mylia (Michael) Fairley nee Reynolds of Stratham, N.H.; grandchildren Heather Fairley and Fay Fairley; sisters Roberta Hern of Waterloo, Marian Maag of Waterloo, and Georgia (Ervin) Borcharding of Waterloo; and aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mrs. Rexinger was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She and her husband lived in Alameda, Calif., for nearly 25 years, where Mrs. Rexinger was active with First Presbyterian Church, serving as deaconess for many years. Her efforts also helped save the church from closing. She participated in Bible studies and attended conferences of the Fellowship of Christian Airline Personnel with her daughter and son-in-law. She returned to Waterloo in 1992. She traveled around the world with her husband, daughter and sister. She was an excellent “puzzler” and spent hours pouring over difficult crosswords and acrostics. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service was at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo, Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein officiating. She is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to any local hospice.
