Woodard, Oliver
Oliver Woodard, 86, of Columbia, died April 13, 2005, in Waterloo. He was born August 27, 1918, 
in Monette, Ariz., the son of the late Ivy and May Woodard nee Thorn. He married the late Lorraine 
L. Woodard nee Grob in 1946; she died in 1995. He is survived by his son Mark Woodard of 
Columbia, grandson Matthew (Christine) Woodard of Columbia, sister Lorraine Lampkin of Jonesboro, 
Ark., and other relatives and friends. Mr. Woodard was a laborer with the AFL-CIO Local #581 
Laborer’s Union of St. Louis. He was a 50 year member of the American Legion Post #581. He was 
an Army veteran of World War II. Visitation and funeral services were at Lawlor Funeral Home, 
Michael Dixon officiating. He is buried at Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery in Columbia. Memorials may 
be made to Unity Hospice.
