Vogt, Gerhardt Obituary, Waterloo Advocate February, 1918 Gerhardt Vogt, one of our old residents and most respected farmers died at the family residence in Bufincker land Saturday morning, Feb. 16th, 1918. He had been in ill health for quite a while. The deceased was born in Germany, but came here in youth, and resided here constantly since. On Dec. 5, 1860, he married to Miss Theresa Niggenaber, who, with a number of children survive. The latter are Henry, Mrs. B. Rosemann, Louis B. of this vicinity, and Sister Cutburth (Mary). The deceased was held in high esteem by all, and he was known by nearly every one in the vicinity. The interment took place in the Catholic cemetery Monday morning, many friends attending the last rites. Submitted by Jean Jung
