Twesten, Arlou Faus nee Asselmeier
Arlou Faus Twesten nee Asselmeier, 88, of Waterloo, died April 28, 2004, at St. Louis. Mrs. Twesten 
married Lois C. Faus and then Hank P. Twesten. She was born December 24, 1915, at Maeystown,
 the daughter of the late Charles and Christine Asselmeier nee Bade. She is survived by children Clyde 
(Norma) Faus, Susan (John) Mathes and Karen (Dennis) Range; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 
six great-great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in 
death by her parents, husbands, daughter Janice F. Liefer nee Faus, son Dale Faus, grandson Larry 
Faus and numerous brothers and sisters. Mrs. Twesten was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses of 
Waterloo. She died with dignity and grace and was loved by all. Visitation and funeral were at 
Quernheim Funeral Home, officiated by Richard Chandler. She is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery 
in Waterloo.
