Mroz, John M.
John M. Mroz Jr., 68, of Waterloo, died September 27, 2004, in Red Bud. He was married 
to Gladys M. Mroz nee Morton. Mr. Mroz was born June 24, 1936, in East St. Louis, the 
son of the late John Sr. and Evelyn R. Mroz nee Hunt. He is survived by his wife; children 
Michael Mroz, of Alton, Linda Novack, of Waterloo, Flody (Paula) Engel, of Chester, and 
Kathy (David “Fritz”) Engel-Edwards, of Rockwood; eight grandchildren; seven grandchildren; 
brother Gene Mroz, of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 
parents, son Mark Mroz, daughter Debra S. Faverty nee Engel; grandson Christopher Faverty; 
daughter-in-law Connie Mroz nee Spalding; and brother D. Joseph H. Mroz. Visitation and 
funeral services were at Quernheim Funeral Home, Pastor Dennis Jones officiating.
