Obit Miller, Catherine E. nee Crook Catherine E. Miller nee Crook, of Waterloo, died September 15, 2004, in Red Bud. She was married to Raymond J. Miller. Mrs. Miller was born October 4, 1916, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Crook nee Dugan. She is survived by her daughter Mary (Harold) Crook; grandchildren Tim (Karen) Crook, Janet (Robert) Mitchell, Nancy (George) Schmidt, Paul (Debbie) Crook, Judy (Michael) Klein; Brenda Cook and her friend Gina; and Wanda (Gary) Jerlfs; great-grandchildren Tonya (Tim) Schilling, Jamie Crook, Daniel Crook, Angela Schmidt, Michael Schmidt, Eric Schmidt, Andrea Crook, Matthew Crook, Jeremy Klein, Bethany Klein, Kayla Juelfs, Justin Juelfs and Laura Juelfs; step-great-grandchildren Heather Mitchell, Amanda Long, Angel and Eugene; step-great-great-grandchildren Trenten Mitchell and Tate Long; brother James Crook, sisters-in-law Mathilda Crook, Beulah Williams and Rosalie Miller; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond J. Miller; brothers Walter Crook, Raymond Crook, Joseph Crook, Albert Crook and Leo Crook; sister Mamie Winkler; and great-granddaughter Jennifer A. Crook. Mrs. Miller was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, and a former member of Waterloo Senior Citizens. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Her funeral mass was at Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. She is buried at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo.
