Mathews, Pearl B.
Pearl B. Mathews nee Goeddel, 92, of Waterloo, died October 4, 2004, in Waterloo. 
She was married to the late Lawrence T. Mathews. Mrs. Mathews was born August 22, 1912, 
in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Jacob D. and Clara M. Goeddel nee Schlemmer. She is 
survived by grandchildren Christine Murphy of Farmersville, Christopher Mount of Charleston, 
Daniel Mount of Charleston and Joe Mount of Charleston; great-grandchildren; brother Melvin 
(Lucille) Goeddel of Waterloo; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Arlene R. Mount, a great-grandson 
and a great-granddaughter. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Her funeral mass was at 
St. Mary’s Church in Valmeyer, Fr. John Ssebitosi officiating. She is buried at Immaculate 
Conception Cemetery in Madonnaville. Memorials may be made to Canterbury Manor Nursing 
Center.
