Krause, Geraldine O. nee Werling
Geraldine O. Krause nee Werling, 88, of Waterloo, formerly of New Port Richey, Fla., 
died July 29, 2004, in Waterloo. Mrs. Krause was married to Albin E. Krause and 
previously Lester J. Mehrmann; they both preceded her in death. She was born 
October 8, 1915, in Waterloo, the daughter of the late George and Frieda Werling
nee Hoffmann. She is survived by her sisters June Degener and Marge Bottiaux, both 
of Waterloo; brother Jules Werling, of Waterloo; niece and godchild Sandy Pinson, of
Caseyville; nephew Steve Degener, of Waterloo; godchild Dale Werling; four sisters-in-law; 
a great-niece, great-nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; 
husbands Albin and Lester, and brothers George Werling Jr. and Nelson Werling. Mrs. 
Kraus was a member of United Church of Christ in New Port Richey, Fla. She was also 
in the Order of the Eastern Star, Queen City Chapter, Fairview Heights; Order of White 
Shrine, Cedar Shrine, Belleville; Daughter of the Nile, East St. Louis; and National 
Association of Retired Federal Employees. There were a private visitation and funeral at 
Quernheim Funeral Home. She is interred at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in 
Fairview Heights.
