Mechler, Donald L.
Donald L. Mechler, 71, of Waterloo, died June 8, 2004, at Red Bud. Mr. Mechler was 
married to Catherine Mechler nee Hess. He was born May 13, 1933, at Waterloo, the 
son of the late Eugene and Bertha Mechler nee Frierdich. He is survived by his wife, sons 
Kevin (Mary) Mechler, Keith (Carol) Mechler and Kurt (Susie) Mechler; daughter Karen 
(Carey III) Clark; grandchildren Katie Mechler, Nick Mechler, Mason Mechler, Dane 
Mechler, Carey Clark IV, Cameron Clark and Corley Ann Clark; step-granddaughter 
Carrie (Matt) Hilling; step-great-grandchildren Daniel Hilling and Megan Hensiek; 
sister-in-law Wanda Mechler, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. He 
was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Eugene A. Mechler and James V. 
Mechler. Mr. Mechler was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo. 
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the American Legion Post #747. 
Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Funeral services were at SS. Peter and Paul 
Church, officiated by Msgr. Thomas Flach. He is buried at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
