Submitted by Kathleen Reilmann Amandus Ruff Died June 14 Amandus Ruff, 91, of Waterloo, died June 14,1984 at the Monroe County Nursing Home, where he had been a resident for six and a half years. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Quernheim Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Preese officiating. Burial was in Kolmer Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Ruff was born Sept. 19,1892 in Wartburg, a son of Fred and Anna Ruff, nee Horner. He was the husband of Katie Ruff, nee Steinsieck. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Alice Belch of Des Peres, Mo., a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Ruff of Waterloo; two brothers, Theodore Ruff of Waterloo and Arthur Ruff of St. Louis; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Clarence Ruff June 8, 1981, a daughter Edna Ruff in infancy, two sisters and three brothers.
