Becker, Eugene M. Waterloo Republican January 4, 1933 Eugene M. Becker, son of Mrs. Christian Becker, died on Christmas Day, and his funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon, December 28, 1932, from the farm home of the Beckers to St. Paul’s cemetery where Rev. E.J. Westerbeck conducted services, and burial was made in St. Paul’s cemetery. He was a member of Columbia Camp No. 2034, Modern Woodmen of America, and members of that society assisted in the burial ceremonies. The deceased was born near Columbia on July 26, 1901 and had reached the age of 31 years, 4 months and 29 days. His father, Christian Becker, died about a month ago. He is survived by his mother, Misses Alma and Ester Becker at home; a brother Walter of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Amanda Mosbacher, Mrs. Tillie Mueller, and Mrs. Frieda Stemmler, all of Columbia. The deceased had been suffering with diabetes for several years, and was unmarried. The Becker family have the deep sympathy of their many friends in their double bereavement. submitted by Jean Jung
