Stumpf, Edmund E. Obit Edmund E. Stumpf, 94, of Columbia, died Nov. 29, 2007, in Columbia. He was born Nov. 28, 1913, in Columbia, the son of the late Fred and Mena Stumpf nee Mehrtens. He was married to Ardell Stumpf nee Taake. Mr. Stumpf is survived by his wife; children Ruth Ann (Marvin) Rodemich of Columbia, Kathleen (John) Harris of Houston, Tex., and Glenn (Lisa) Stumpf of Columbia; grandchildren Scott (Julie) Rodemich, Chris (Bill) Browne, Chad (Katie) Harris, Shannon (Jarrett) Lambo, Jake Stumpf and Jesse Stumpf; five great-grandchildren; sister Adel Stumpf; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Erwin “Butch” Stumpf, and sister Thelma Sparwasser. Mr. Stumpf was an active member of Zoar United Church of Christ in New Hanover. He was a former director of the Monroe County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the C & W Co-op Board and Waterloo Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed farming, family and traveling. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service was at Zoar United Church of Christ, Pastor Mauri Peaco officiating. He is buried at New Hanover Cemetery in New Hanover.
