Schwartz, Wilbur     Obit

Wilbur Schwartz, 78, of Modoc, died Nov. 26, at his residence. He was born 
Feb. 7, 1929, in Prairie du Rocher, to the late Russell and Fern (nee Nicholson) 
Schwartz. He married Margaret “Pat” Melliere on Sept. 5, 1956, at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher. He was preceded in death by a sister, 
Evelyn Schwartz; and a brother, Delmar Schwartz. Survivors include brother, 
Melvin (Verona) Schwartz. He was a retired purchasing agent for Snyder 
General / AFCO in Red Bud for 44 years. He was a member of St. Joseph 
Catholic Church n Prairie du Rocher, American Legion Post #622 in Prairie du 
Rocher and Randolph County Farm Bureau. Visitation was at Welge-Pechacek 
Funeral Home in Red Bud. Funeral was at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie 
du Rocher, with Father Clyde Grogan officiating. He was buried at the church 
cemetery.
