Rippelmeyer, Ervin "Mirl" Obit

Ervin “Mirl” Rippelmeyer, 92, of Waterloo, died Nov. 12, 2007, in Waterloo. He was 
born May 26, 1915, in Mitchie Precinct, the son of the late Louis S. and Magdalena 
Rippelmeyer nee Hammer. He was married to Vera C. Rippelmeyer nee Offermann, 
who survived him. Mr. Rippelmeyer is survived by his wife; sister-in-law, brother-in-law, 
nieces, a nephew and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Priscilla 
Hoepfinger and Sylvia Hoffmann; and brothers Floyd Rippelmeyer and John Rippelmeyer. 
Mr. Rippelmeyer was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Valmeyer and 
Monroe County Farm Bureau. He was a former volunteer at the Monroe County Nursing 
Home. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral service was at St. John 
United Church of Christ in Valmeyer, Pastor David Riebeling officiating. He was buried at 
St. John Cemetery in Valmeyer. Memorials may be made to St. John Cemetery in Valmeyer.
