Rehmer, Bernell E. nee Reitz

Bernell E. Rehmer nee Reitz, 90, of Waterloo, died Feb. 11, 2007, in Waterloo. She 
was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Waterloo, the daughter of the late George H. and Louisa J. 
Reitz nee Hauptfleisch. She was married to the late Harold W. Rehmer. Mrs. Rehmer is 
survived by her children Donne (Richard) Kaiser of New Athens, Carol (Hank) Knaust 
of Ventura, Calif., and Debra (John) Bergman of Waterloo; grandchildren Randall 
Kaiser, Todd Rossmeier, Christine Daley, Jeff Kaiser, Nathan Bergman, Brooke Knaust, 
Ashley Knaust and Kelsy Bergman; six great-grandchildren; and siblings Bernice Church, 
Dorothy Whelan, Edith Castleberry, Melba Ryan, Earl Reitz and Donald Reitz. She was 
preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters Janice Rossmeier, Karen Rehmer 
and Sharon Rehmer; brother Clarence Reitz and sister Jean Frank. Mrs. Rehmer was a 
member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She was also a member of the 
American Legion Auxiliary. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral 
service was at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pastor Tony Troup officiating. She is buried 
at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to Immanuel 
Lutheran Church in Waterloo or Oak Hill.
