GARDNER

Mrs. Catherine Ann Gardner, widow of R.W. Gardner, died at the residence 
of her son Albert on April 18, 1934, after an illness of several months, aged 82 
years, 2 months and 15 days.

The funeral took place Saturday morning in the Catholic cemetery, after impressive 
services in SS. Peter and Paul’s church by Rev. Eschmann.

The deceased was a member of the Burke family, well known to our older residents.  
The family was very prominent here at one time, and for several years conducted Burke 
Hotel on the site now occupied by the Masonic Temple.

She is survived by one son Albert and two grand-children.

The last rites were attended by a large number of friends who extended sympathy 
to the bereaved ones.
