The News Democrat of Belleville Thiele, Henry Henry Thiele, 73 of 812 North Briegel Street, Columbia, died suddenly of a heart attack at 2:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home. A retired foreman of the Midwest Rubber Reclaiming Company, East St. Louis. Mr. Thiele was the caretaker of the American Legion Home at Columbia. He was born in Millstadt February 18, 1888, a son of the late Otto and Frances Thiele, nee Edler. He married Olivia Klamp, who died January 21, 1933. He then married Frieda Mosbacher. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Darlene, wife of Gerald Gouday, Columbia; three brothers, Herman Thiele, Fults, Ill., Fred Thiele, Oakville, Mo., and Louis Thiele, Waterloo, and four grandchildren. A son preceded him in death. Mr. Thiele was a member of Columbia American Legion Post 40 et 8, World War I Veterans Barracks 1342, Columbia Gymnastics Club and Waterloo Sportsman's Club. The funeral will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon from St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Columbia, to St. Paul's Cemetery. The Rev. Norman Rahmoeller pastor, will officiate. Friends may call at the Schmidt Funeral Home, Columbia, after 7 o'clock tonight and until noon Thursday when the body will be taken to church.
