Obituary, Waterloo Republic, September 1, 1948

Mrs. Mary Schaper, 68, of East St. Louis, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Albert 
Agnew, at Harrisonville, Friday; August 27, 1948.  She was the former Mary Coerver, 
and the widow of the late Louis Schaper.

Mrs. Schaper was born August 22, 1880, at Madonnaville, Ill., and is survived by two 
daughters, Mrs. Agnew and Miss Loretta Schaper; one son, William Schaper, and five 
grandchildren.  Three sisters also survive.  They are Mrs. Amanda Schaefer, Mrs. C. J. 
Stacy and Mrs. Lizzie Kohnz.

Her funeral took place Monday morning from the Quernheim Funeral Home with 
services at the Catholic church at Valmeyer, Rev. R. Donovan officiating.  Burial 
followed in the Waterloo Catholic cemetery.
