Obituary Sept 1990 Riebeling, Ervin C. Sr. Ervin C. Riebeling, Sr., 67, of Columbia, Ill., died Thursday, September 13, 1990, at his residence in Columbia. He was a retired high lift operator at Stolle Quarry, Dupo, Ill. For 34 years of service. He was a member of Operating Engineer Local No. 520 of Belleville, and Monroe County Farm Bureau. Proceding in death were a sister, Georgianna Kemp; and two brothers, Eugene and LeRoy Riebeling. Surviving are his wife, Gladys M. nee Thompson, Riebeling: five daughters and four sons-in-law, Carol Breitenstein, Kathy and Mark Butler, Lisa and Curt Newton, all of Columbia, Theresa and Kenneth Cordevant of Dupo, and Pat and David Kennedy of Waterloo; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Ervin and Sandy Riebeling, Jr., and Glen Riebeling, both of Columbia, and Vernon Riebeling of Cahokia; three brothers, Herbert Riebeling of Columbia, Arthur Riebeling of Waterloo, and Ralph of ST. Genevieve, Mo.; three sisters, Lenora Paintner of St. Louis, Mo, Shirley Menke of Waterloo, and Clara Sellers of Red Bud; 11 grand- children, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Zoar United Church of Christ, New Hanover, Ill., with Pastor William Groennert officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
