Mosbacher, William

William Mosbacher; of Columbia died at the home of his son, Edward Mosbacher,
in that city on Wednesday, January 31.  He was 80 years old.  He formerly lived on 
a farm near Valmeyer until 1920 when he moved to Dupo.  He was born near Waterloo, 
the son of Nicholas and Margaret Mosbacher, nee Hale.  He married Marie Caroline 
Vollhardt who died in 1931.  He is survived by five children: Henry of Dupo; Mrs. 
John Oestertag, of Dupo; Charles and Edward Mosbacher and Mrs. Henry Thiele, of 
Columbia.  He also leaves three brothers and one sister Joseph, of Leavenworth, Kansas, 
Henry, of St. Louis; Theodore of East ST. Louis  and Mary Waltz of Waterloo.
