Kohler, Louis - Aug 4, 2004
Louis C. Kohler, 71, of Waterloo, died August 4, 2004, in Belleville. Mr. Kohler was married 
to the late Doris K. Kohler nee Krebel; she preceded him in death. He was born March 11, 1933, 
in Waterloo, the son of the late Frank and Ann Kohler nee Wuertz. He is survived by his children 
Connie (Don Jr.) Kaiping, of Waterloo, Rita (Charles) Wagner, of Hecker, Karen (Rob) Abrahams, 
of Lynn Haven, Fla., Luann (John) Hanner, of Red Bud, Mark L. (Darlene) Kohler, of Waterloo, 
Michael (Tracy) Kohler, of Waterloo, and Steven (Karen) Kohler, of Granite City; 14 grandchildren; 
sister Monica (Marvin) Hitzemann, of Waterloo; brothers Frank T. (Joann) Kohler, of Highland, 
Hubert (Caroline) Kohler, of Toledo, Ohio, and Julian (Janet) Kohler, of St. Louis; and brother-in-law 
Henry Braun, of Red Bud. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sons James Frank Kohler 
and Keith Charles Kohler, and sister Anna Braun. Mr. Kohler was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul 
Catholic Church in Waterloo. His visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral mass was 
at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. He is buried at Ss. Peter and 
Paul Catholic Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be made to Ss. Peter and Paul Church Building 
Fund.
