Griesbaum, Cletus E.  - May 9, 2004,
Cletus E. Griesbaum, 94, of Waterloo, formerly of New Baden, died May 9, 2004, at the 
Monroe County Care and Rehab Center. Mr. Griesbaum was married to Loretta M. 
Griesbaum nee Waigand. He was born on October 13, 1909, in New Baden, the son of 
the late Albert and Elizabeth Griesbaum nee Loehr. He is survived by his daughter 
Lucille (Vernell) Moehrs; grandchildren Gina Pfund and Clay (Jennifer) Moehrs; and 
great-grandchildren Stephanie Pfund, Kennedy Moehrs and Greysan Moehrs. He is 
preceded in death by his parents, wife, twin brother Clemens Griesbaum, and sisters 
Agnes Billhartz and Aurelia Griesbaum. Mr. Griesbaum was a member of St. George 
Catholic Church in New Baden. He was a retired farmer and a former member of the 
Holy Name Society. Funeral services were at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden, 
officiated by the Rev. Albert Kreher of Prairie du Rocher. He is buried at Resurrection 
Cemetery in New Baden. Memorials may be made to the Monroe County Care and 
Rehab Center Activity Department or St. Joseph Catholic Church of Prairie du Rocher.
