Dashner, Mary B. - August 6, 2004 Mary B. Dashner nee Irose, 88, of Waterloo, died August 6, 2004, in Columbia. Mrs. Dashner was married to James E. Dashner; he preceded her in death. She was born December 29, 1915, in Chester, the daughter of the late Mark V. and Gertrude A. Irose nee McDermott. She is survived by her son James J. (Susan) Dashner, of House Springs, Mo.; grandchildren Angela (Ronald) Weber, of Columbia, Jamie (Michael) Reiter, of O’Fallon, Mo., and James M. Dashner, Ballwin, Mo; step-daughters Karen (John) McLaughlin, of Eureka, Mo., and Michelle (Eric) Colley, of Imperial, Mo.; great-grandchildren Brendan Weber, Graham Weber, Lindsey Reiter, Michael McLaughlin, Shannon McLaughlin, Joshua Colley, Rachel Colley, and Tom (Michelle) Reiter; and a niece, nephew and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael T. Dashner, brother Charles Irose, and sisters-in-law Doris Irose and Bessie Dashner. She and her husband operated a tavern in Renault for 20 years. She also was retired from the Monroe County Nursing Home. Her visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral mass was at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. She is buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Renault. Memorials may be made to Gibault Catholic High School.
